Many sneaker enthusiasts remember the year 1997 for the Air Max 97, but Nike wasn’t just active in the running sector or pleased basketball heads with Air Jordans, with the help of Penny Hardaway and Mike Bibby another shoe made an appearance on the court that turned some heads: the Nike Air Foamposite One and Nike Air Foamposite Pro. Fun fact, it was supposed to be Scotty Pippen`s signature shoe but Nike gave it to Penny Hardaway, unfortunate for Chicago’s number 33. It was the new design and aesthetic of the basketball shoe that made it not just popular on the court but on the streets to become one of the most famous silhouettes for Nike of all time. Erik Avar the forward-thinking Nike designer created the Foamposite with its new “liquid foam” technology provided by Daewoo, wrapping the food to give stability and provide support while playing. Over 20 years later, the Air Foamposite still look likes it could be from the future and will continue to be a favorite among sneakerheads.

This light grey Air Foamposite Pro QS is ready for the All-Star Game and makes its aerodynamic upper customizable as the Swoosh is interchangeable with four different kind of colors (black, silver, bronze and one with a glow-in-the-dark effect) so sneakerheads have the possibility to adjust the shoe to their look. Selected parts of the upper are 3M while the rubber outsole is kept icy blue and black.
